This suspension system, which flexes and self-adjusts to the wearer’s head size, is preferred over existing standard hard helmets 9 out of 10 times*. This increases comfort for all-day wear and lowers forehead pressure.

Head: SecureFit H-700 series hard hats vented and non-vented and H-800 series full brim, in white, yellow, green, blue, orange, red and grey, plus the SecureFit X5001 rescue helmet, ratchet and universal headgear, and an elastic chin strap. Eye and face: Virtua and Virtua AP protective eyewear, GoggleGear and 2890 series safety goggles, 334 series chemical splash and anti-fog goggles, anti-mist welding goggles and a clear polycarbonate faceshield. Respiratory: the N95 particulate respirator and a P100 particulate filter. And outside PPE, 3M electrical vinyl tape.

The numbers printed on 3M packaging are the specification, not decoration. Earplugs and earmuffs carry an attenuation rating, and the right one follows measured noise rather than comfort — over-protection cuts a worker off from alarms and from the people around them. Hard hats are vented or non-vented for a reason: vented is cooler and does not belong on electrical work. Goggles are rated separately for impact, for splash and for fogging, and an anti-fog coating is a consumable that wears out.
